Scots Church
This is a virtual tour from spire to pulpit, of a famous historic landmark in Collins Street. The church was built in decorated Gothic style and opened in 1874. The spire spire is 210 feet tall and for many years was the highest point in the city. It was built by David Mitchell, who was the father of the famous Australian soprano, Dame Nellie Melba, who was at one time a chorister in the Choir.
The Substation Newport
The Substation Newport was built by Victorian Railways and opened 1915. It was derelict for 3 decades before being restored.
Rippon Lea Estate
This magnificent Rippon Lea Estate was built and owned by the Sargood family until 1903. It is now owned by the National Trust.

The State Library of Victoria is the oldest public library in Australia and one of the first free libraries in the world.
