Victorian State Parliament

The Victorian State Parliament first met in November 1856. It has two houses, the assembly (lower house) with 88 members and the council (upper house) with 40 members.

Interesting facts: Queen's Hall was named in honour of Queen Victoria. It was completed in 1879.
